The Golden Ears Métis Society’s Youth Community hosted the first-ever Jigging Competition at the South Bonson Community Centre on Sunday. It was part of a youth empowerment event that featured guest speaker and respected Métis Elder, Maria Campbell. Each of the jigging champions were presented with a red woven Métis sash.
