A KEEPS open house will look at how animals survive the winter.

The Kanaka Education and Environmental Partnership Society (KEEPS) is offering an upcoming open house event, educating the public about how local wild animals survive during the cold weather.

Winter Wonders will be held on Sunday, Feb. 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Kanaka Creek Watershed Stewardship Center (11484 256 St.).

Admission is free to this family event.

KEEPS offers a variety of interactive environmental education programs, both in the classroom and in the field, available throughout the year.
