Maple Ridge eateries offer fixed price deals for Dine Out Vancouver

Dine Out Vancouver runs from Wednesday, Jan. 22 until Sunday, Feb. 9

Seven Maple Ridge restaurants will be taking part in 23rd season of Dine Out Vancouver this year.

Ban Chok Dee Thai Cuisine, GM Restaurant, The Keg Steakhouse and Bar, Kingfishers Waterfront Bar and Grill, Ricky’s Country Restaurant, and Andiamo's Pizza and Pasta House will all have special menus available for the annual dining festival.

Reservations are being accepted now at each of the restaurants except for Andiamo's Pizza and Pasta House and GM Restaurant, where people will be served on a first-come, first-served walk-in basis.

Dine Out Vancouver was started in Vancouver in 2002 by a group of food and wine enthusiasts.

They got together with the team at Destination Vancouver and pitched the idea for a fixed-price menu deal to get people into restaurants at what is usually a slow time of the year.

That first year 57 restaurants took part. This year more than 430 restaurants, wineries, craft breweries, suppliers and more will be taking part in the three week event, offering specials for brunch, lunch, or dinner.

Menus will also cater to those who are vegetarian or vegan.

The festival is now Canada's largest food and drink festival and runs from Wednesday, Jan. 22 until Sunday, Feb. 9.
