Graduating students at Maple Ridge Secondary are gearing up for their annual free Show and Shine event in support of the school’s dry grad celebrations.

The event has been taking place for more than 15 years now and sees usually about 120 different classic vehicles including hot rods, classic cars and trucks, and maybe even motorcycles.

However, the amount on display is always weather dependent.

There will be a concession, raffles, a silent auction, and live music.

Currently organizer Trevor Randle, head of the culinary program at the school, is looking for vendors, sponsors, and donations.

Vendor space is a $25 donation and the minimum donation per vehicle at the event is $15.

The event will be taking place from 10-3 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, at Maple Ridge Secondary School, 21911 122 Avenue.

Vehicle registration opens at 9 a.m. and there is no need to preregister.

For more information call 604-463-4175.
