Ridge Meadows Hospital has a new ultrasound imaging machine.

Thanks to the From the Heart campaign at the hospital foundation's recent gala, the medical imaging team has received a state-of-the-art Logic E10 Ultrasound unit.

"The Logic E10 isn't just a fancy upgrade; it's a game-changer! With high-definition imaging and advanced ergonomics, this cutting-edge technology is designed for general imaging and interventional procedures like guided biopsies and drainages," said the foundation online.

"The Medical Imaging team is absolutely loving it and can’t wait to leverage its incredible capabilities in future procedures," the foundation added, noting that the quality of the images is like seeing everything in four dimensional.

"Together, we’re not just improving the hospital's imaging capabilities—we’re enhancing the lives of those we serve," the foundation continued, thanking the community and donors for their ongoing support.

The Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation, in operation since 1984, raises funds to support the purchase of essential equipment and high priority health care needs both at the hospital and in the community.

Ridge Meadows Hospital opened in 1958, with two floors, 63 beds, and 67 employees.

Today, it is one of 12 acute care hospitals in the Fraser Health Authority, with 125 acute care beds, as well as 10 hospice beds and 148 residential care beds.
