Maple Ridge mall invaded by costumed characters

Treats were handed out at ValleyFair Mall at their annual Trick or Treat event

Hundreds of children dressed up as their favourite characters could be seen making the rounds at ValleyFair Mall Thursday afternoon at the annual Trick or Treat event.

Every year employees at stores in the mall hand out candies to children.

This year many were dressed as Spider-Man and firefighter another popular costume.

Kasen Besuschko, 3, was dressed up as Bingo, a red heeler cartoon dog from the Bluey television show; Jordana Bowser who was handing out candy at Black Bond Books was dressed as the character Anxiety from the movie 'Inside Out'; and Kobe Sante, 9, was dressed up as a skull trooper from the video game Fortnite.

This was Bowser's third year handing out candy at the book store and she said every year they run out because hundreds of children stream by.
