ARMS will again be painting yellow salmon at storm drains.

Once again, Maple Ridge stream keepers are painting bright yellow reminders that storm drains lead to salmon habitat.

The Alouette River Management Society is hosting a storm drain painting session on July 22 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.  They invite the public to help them paint salmon on local storm drains to raise awareness about keeping our waterways clean, and not dumping contaminants down storm drains.

ARMS says no experience is needed – just a willingness to join in and have fun.

They will be at Glenwood Elementary School (21410 Glenwood Ave.) from 6 to 7 p.m., painting the drains around the school and surrounding streets.

It's free to attend, spots are limited due to limited kits. If you'd like to attend please sign up through the link volunteersignup.org/PCWMK
