The Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation is now taking registration for its annual Fund Run, and those who sign up by May 1 get some benefits.
The on-time registrants will receive a free Fund Run T-shirt, and will save $5 off their registration fees.
This has been a reliable, longtiem fundraiser for the Hospital Foundation, which works to provide better equipment and contribute to capital projects at the Ridge Meadows Hospital. Over the past 20 years, the run has raised more than $600,000 combined.
This year’s run is coming up on June 2, and will be sponsored this year by Marv Jones Honda. Participants can register in person at the Foundation office, which is located at the main entrance of Ridge Meadows Hospital. Or they can register online until May 30th at midnight at raceroster.com
There will still be registration opportunities at package pick-up on June 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Marv Jones Honda, and still on Race day, Sunday, June 2, between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. at Fairview Elementary.
Fees cost $40 for an individual, $35 per person for the entry of a family of four or more, or $35 per person for a corporate team of five or more.
Those who enter are asked to collected pledges, and they will be entered in a grand prize draw for every $100 collected.
There are also awards for the fastest male and female runners in the 5km and 10 km races, in multiple age groups, ranging from under-15 to seniors 70-plus.
There are sponsorship opportunities, and those interested should contact Deanna Lackey at deanna.lackey@fraserhealth.ca.
“Leave a legacy – lace up and champion community health” the Foundation urges.
