PHOTOS: Golf tournament raises thousands for Maple Ridge hospital

Oncology unit received $11K from Citadel Roofing fundraiser

Citadel Roofing and Building Maintenance recently returned to the golf course for the third time in order to raise money for the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation.

The 3rd Annual Charity Classic Golf Tournament was held on Sept. 7, with plenty of community members coming out to Golden Eagles Golf Club to support the fundraiser and play some golf in unique and brightly-coloured outfits.

Andrea Sanders, people operations manager for Citadel Roofing, explained that the event was a big success, with all of the money raised going to a good cause.

"Thanks to our players, volunteers, generous donors, and sponsors, we raised $11,234," said Sanders.

Every cent of this will go to supporting the oncology unit at the Ridge Meadows Hospital, which provides care for people suffering from cancer.
