Pitt Meadows Day Society gearing up for its big day in June

Craft sale new this year, volunteers needed

The Pitt Meadows Day Society is getting ready for the annual event bearing the same name, this year happening on Saturday, June 4.

Plans include a traditional pancake breakfast, parade, activities at Harris Road Park, barbecue and fireworks.  New this year will be artisans and crafters displaying handcrafted items for sale at Harris Road Park.

Craftspeople are invited to submit an application to book a table. Artisans wanting to display items must ensure that all crafts are handmade, either entirely or through assembly of parts and/or pieces. A table and two chairs will be provided for $20, and they can also bring their own tent or covering. All field events need to set up by 11 a.m. and tear down is at 5 p.m.

Application forms can be found on the city’s website at www.pittmeadows.bc.ca. Questions should be directed to Bruce Bell at bandjbell@gmail.com or call 604-465-8609 or Dean Rear at deanrear@shaw.ca or call 604-460-0431.

Volunteers are also needed to help with the celebration.
