Airport Day is coming up on Saturday, June 21 at the Pitt Meadows Regional Airport.
The burgeoning airfield welcomes the community, and creates an opportunity for marketing the many businesses that are located at YPK. Thousands attended in 2024, and the free event will run from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. this year.
This year the airport is putting a focus on the Canadian Museum of Flight. The non-profit organization is building a new facility at YPK, and the airport will be taking donations to help with the project.
Visitors will get to see different aircraft up close, in addition to taking part in various other activities.
There will be live entertainment, a Kids Zone put on by Vancouver Party Works, a marketplace by The Collective Market, entertainment by Mic the DJ and Steve Halfnights, a beer garden by Vancouver Beer Truck, and a sponsor zone featuring local businesses. There will also be a variety of things to eat from food trucks.
Pitt Meadows Regional Airport (18799 Airport Way) is owned and operated by the Pitt Meadows Airport Society, a registered not for-profit organization.
