The Fraser Valley Regional Library is hosting its Reading Link Challenge on April 26 from 7-9 p.m. at Kwantlen Polytechnic University Auditorium.
The challenge is a province-wide program for students in Grades 4 and 5 to promote reading as a sport. In November, teams of six students began reading six selected books. In February, they participated in a school challenge, and the winning teams advanced to a library challenge.
Now, on April 26 teams from FVRL's nine districts, including Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, will compete at the community challenge. The FVRL's top two teams will advance to compete against teams from Coquitlam, Surrey and North Vancouver.
