Youth, families, and interested community members are invited to attend the LAST Committee’s Transition Resource Fair on April 12, at Thomas Haney secondary.
The event takes place from 7-8:30 p.m. in the rotunda at the Maple Ridge school.
Families of students who will be transitioning out of high school in the next five years are encouraged to attend to become familiar with the types of resources available in the community.
The Life After School Transition (LAST) Committee organizes the annual Transition Resource Fair for students and young adults with extra support needs and their families.
At the fair, representatives from a variety of service providers and agencies covering continuing education, employment, health, and recreational services will be on hand to provide specific information that will assist youth in their transition to adulthood.
Speakers from several different agencies will be give five-minute TED-like talks about the services they provide.
