Maple Ridge resident Roberto Garelli was recently out at Stave River, which runs between Maple Ridge and Mission. Eagles flock to the area each fall in large numbers, to feast on the returning salmon. He was captivated by the sight of this lone "bald eagle looking over the waters, with Mt. Baker in the background, at sunset," he said.
