Smile cookies put smiles on the faces of the team at the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation after a Tim Hortons' crew delivered their share of the popular fundraising campaign.
On Friday, Feb. 21, the team at the Tim Hortons location at 201 Street and Lougheed Highway, delivered a cheque for $16,542 from the latest Holiday Smile Cookie campaign.
Executive director of the hospital foundation Janine Davies explained that the sale of Smile Cookies at the six local Tim Hortons' locations totalled about $32,000, half of which went to the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps and half to the hospital foundation.
And, Davies explained the foundation will receive 100 per cent of original Tim Hortons' Smile Cookie which takes place at the end of April.
"These two campaigns combined are directed to our 'Areas of Greatest Need' program. The Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation has been trusted to strategically deploy funds to meet our mission of providing essential high priority equipment supporting healthcare in community. Based on our annual commitment list for 2024-2025, our total commitment is $1,015,200, of which we are still fundraising for."
