Ridge Meadows RCMP got two colourful hand-written "thank you" notes on Wednesday from a pair of young girls who were reported missing last week.
The pair were found a short while after they were reported missing to police last Friday.
Supt. Dave Walsh said Alicia and Alyx were fine and "just taking a walk."
The girls expressed their thanks to Const. Lewis Walker and Sgt. Parm Prihar who responded to the call.
Alyx wrote to she was sorry for "going in the trail without telling Tresa and going with strangers! You have have a hard job."
Her friend Alicia was sorry she frightened her mom and thanked the Mounties for keeping Maple Ridge safe.
