Maple Ridge police go for a quick jog to help Law Enforcement Torch Run Thursday

Ridge Meadows RCMP Const. Deanna Hawes carries the torch down 224th Street, through downtown Maple Ridge during the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics B.C. on Thursday.

In Maple Ridge, the run started off from Maple Ridge Baptist Church, at 22155 Lougheed Highway, and finished at the Ridge Meadows RCMP detachment.

In Pitt Meadows, the run started at the Pitt Meadows Legion, at the corner of Harris and McMyn roads, and ended at Pitt Meadows City Hall.

The 2013 BC Torch Run will include law enforcement personnel from more than 30 communities across the province.
