The city is looking for volunteers, parade entries, and exhibitors for the annual community celebration Pitt Meadows Day, which is coming up on Saturday, June 7.
The 84th annual event features a number of family-friendly activities, including a pancake breakfast, parade, exhibitors, live music and other entertainment on stage, a beverage garden, and more. The annual festival will be held at Pitt Meadows Athletic Park (11431 Bonson Rd.) The day will wrap up with a live drone show that has replaced fireworks in recent years.
The parade will start a noon this year, near the Civic Centre on Harris Road. It will move south to Hammond Road, then head east on Hammond to Bonson Road and end as it passes Joyner Place.
The city expects Pitt Meadows Day to draw between 10,000 and 15,000 participants.
