The annual watermain cleaning is taking place in Maple Ridge for the next four weeks.
Beginning Friday, Feb. 21, crews will be flushing the equipment in the area from 222 Street and 230 Street and between the Fraser River boundary and 136 Avenue.
The city said the maintenance will improve the water quality, however, some residents may experience low water pressure or milky or dirty water.
To fix the problem, the city is advising resident to open the tap slightly to bleed air for water that appears milky. And for dirty water to run an outside tap until the water is clear.
"We appreciate your patience during this brief interruption," said the city online.
