ACT's Lindy Sisson named presenter of the year

Lindy Sisson is the executive director of the Arts Centre Theatre in Maple Ridge.

The ACT's executive director Lindy Sisson was nominated by her peers to win the B.C. Touring Council's presenter of the year award last week.

Other winners include:

Touring Artist/Artistic Company of the Year: Ballet Jorgen Canada, Toronto.

Agent/Manager of the Year: Ginette Ferland of Bouge de là, Montreal.

The BC Touring Council Touring Award of Excellence recognizing an outstanding body of work, long-standing service and contribution and exemplifying excellence in the performing arts touring sector was awarded to Phyllis Stenson of the Harrison Festival, Harrison.

The Raising Curtains Award recognizing those who work behind the scenes was awarded to The Arts and Entertainment Management Program at Capilano University, Vancouver.
