Angel Down’s self-title CD features eight songs.

Maple Ridge rock band Angel Down will release its debut CD this week at a hometown gig.

The band features LT on drums, Joel Logan on guitar, Gordie Buerk on vocals and Jay ‘Danger’ Graham on bass guitar.

Originally formed in 2007 as a hard rock cover band, Angel Down’s recent switch to original tunes is paying off.

Their live shows have received rave reviews and the band has since shared the stage with Econoline Crush, Finger 11 and Hail The Villain.

Angel Down plans to tour the self-title CD, which features original eight songs, in 2011 and take their “real rock show” across Canada.

Angel Down plays the Club Climax with Stealing Eden, Dead City Scandal and The Sixgun Confederacy on Friday.

Doors open at 9 p.m. Show begins at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.
