Bobby Bruce will be bringing his Neil Diamond tribute performance to the Ridge Meadows Home Show, especially for seniors.

Nearly Neil is an act not to be missed with Bruce performing all of Neil Diamond’s classic hits from his early years including his rise to fame from the mid-1960’s to his historic 1980 Jazz Singer album.

Bruce will be performing solo for the free event and will cover hits including Cracklin’ Rosie, Sweet Caroline, Cherry, Cherry and Forever in Blue Jeans.

“I’ve been performing for more than 20 years all over the world and they’ll be seeing me in my full sequinned regalia as costumed as Neil Diamond,” said the tribute artist.

Bruce began his tribute career starting with casinos in Nevada, Missouri and Atlantic City with Legends In Concert.

Now the tribute star has toured all over the world with his act including the United States, the Cayman Islands, he has done three national tours of Holland and Belgium, he has performed for the king and queen of Malaysia where he has also done 14 tours, he just returned from Australia where he has performed every year since 2008 and he has performed in front of a crowd of 20,000 at Rogers Centre, originally the SkyDome, in Toronto.

Bruce enjoys change in his shows.

“I like big crowds and small crowds and doing shows with my band and without my band. It really keeps me on my toes,” he explained.

Bruce noted that only a few months ago Neil Diamond announced that he is no longer able to tour and perform his music live.

”So if you want to see his music performed live this is one of the only chances you are going to get.”

Bobby Bruce as Nearly Neil performs at 1:30 p.m. on May 5 at the Maple Ridge Fairgrounds.

The first 250 seniors to arrive will receive complimentary coffee and cookies courtesy of McDonald’s Restaurants.
