Celebrate the Caribbean at Tropical Vibes Music Fest in Maple Ridge

16 live acts and two stages at the free music festival Aug. 3 and 4

Get ready to groove to the sounds of reggae, socca, ska, rocksteady, and more at this year's 24th annual Tropical Vibes Music Fest. 

This year the free festival will feature two stages and 16 live acts over the course of two days.

On Saturday Aug. 3, Anica Simon will be emceeing the stage with a lineup that will include: Surfdub, Jessaii, Boomdaddy, Maffi & The Vulcano Band, Mivule, Tambore Fusion.

Headlining Saturday night will be STEELE, backed by the reggae band Out of Many.

Sunday, Aug. 4, the emcee will be Michelle St. Hill and the lineup will include: Anica Simon, XKalibre, Mostly Marley, Phonosonics, Julio Avila, Tropical Breeze, Carl Sound Vibes-Vancouver Soca Xperience, and Phase 3. 

On Sunday at around 5 p.m. there will also be a Carnival Dance Party.

In addition to tropical music, food vendors will fill the fairgrounds with everything Caribbean and more, including:

• The Jerk Shack;

• Taste of Jamaica;

• Hibiscus Foods Morgans Harbour;

• Caribbean Soul;

• Monster Bagels & Grill;

• Yardie Juicy Vibez;

• Yardie Grill.

For more than 23 years, the Tropical Vibes Music Fest, formerly known as the Caribbean Festival, has drawn musicians from around the world to Maple Ridge.

The concert starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, finishing with the headliner STEELE who will be on stage from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Albion Fairgrounds, 23448 Jim Robson Way, Maple Ridge. 

Entertainment runs from 12:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4.
