Peter Tam will be performing in an Elton John music tribute concert with special guest Shannon Matters.
Tam will be on piano as John to perform 16 of the rock star’s popular hits, complete with extravagant outfits. He will be backed up by musicians on guitar, keyboard, drums, cello and back-up vocalists. The concert will be divided into three sets, including the ’70s-80s, classical and rock and roll.
Matters will be performing between sets.
The concert is a fundraiser for Tam’s campaign as the B.C. Green Party candidate for Maple Ridge and Mission.
The Elton John Music Tribute Fundraiser takes place from 7-11 p.m. Nov. 26 at The Stage in Mission at 32988 – 1st Avenue.
