A Maple Ridge country music singer is helping to represent the land of the maple leaf at this year’s CMA Fest in Nashville.
Madeline Merlo, who grew up in Maple Ridge but now lives in Nashville, will be one of more than 280 acts that will be performing at the four-day festival, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
“I’m so excited to be performing at the 50th CMA Fest on the free Maui Jim Reverb Stage in support of the CMA Foundation and music education,” said Merlo.
Included in the list of performers are country legends like Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, and Reba McEntire. There will also be several other Canadian country stars like MacKenzie Porter, Josh Ross, Alexander Ludwig, and Brett Kissel.

Before Merlo takes the stage to belt out some of her biggest hits to the crowd, she will be at the Fan Fair X portion of the festival on June 8 from 11 a.m. to noon, where she will be doing a meet and greet with fans.
The next day, Merlo will be on the Maui Jim Reverb Stage from 11:35 a.m. to noon, where she will likely be singing some of the tracks off her latest EP Slide from last year as well as her new single Same Car, which was released back in March.
