A country singing duo from Maple Ridge are set to perform on opening night of the Fair at PNE, on Aug. 20.

Siblings Britt and Carly McKillip make up pop-country group One More Girl. Having performed their entire lives, they consider themselves to be seasoned veterans of the entertainment business and were signed by EMI Music Canada a few years ago.

In 2009, they released their debut album Big Sky, which was well received by critics. The duo are currently finishing their second album.

Although new to the Canadian country music scene, they have managed to rack up multiple British Columbia Country Music Association awards, Canadian Country Music Association awards, and have won a Canadian Radio Music Award for best new country artist.

The girls have grown up listening primarily to country music but cite artists such as Michelle Branch, Gavin DeGraw, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga as major influences.

Summer Night concerts are free.
