The Maple Ridge Concert Band is once again bringing Twilight Tuesdays – Pops in the Park to the bandstand in Memorial Peace Park each Tuesday evening in July.
The concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., end at approximately 9:30 p.m., and are free to the public. Members of the public are asked to bring a chair or blanket, and listen to the music while watching the sun set behind the bandstand.
The community band has been playing in Maple Ridge since 1946, and their motto “Life Long Musical Enjoyment” is taken to heart by the members. The band have about 80 musicians of all ages and musical abilities. They meet weekly at Westview secondary, starting in September.
