The Bruce James Orchestra plays Summer Serenade every Wednesday in Pitt Meadows Spirit Square.

Join the Bruce James Orchestra at Spirit Square in Pitt Meadows for a summer serenade in the setting sun.

Led by local resident Bruce Flello, the 17-piece band takes over the city’s civic centre every Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The orchestra’s rhythm section features Johnathan Reichert on drums, Darrell Swanson on piano, Ian McHattie on guitar and George Goodall on bass.

Amanda Rohl, Bryan Vance, Dave McLean, Chris Goetz and Sergei Silin will thrill you with five-part saxophone harmonies. Flello joins Lyn Murray, Tom Walker and Len Halmrast on trombones.

Ken Moss, Steve Torok, Warne Pettie and Greg Gerke play trumpets while Linnea Holm, Lach Duncan and Flello share vocal duties.

Flello’s band will play on most night but to keep it interesting for the audience, there will be performances by other groups and guest musicians.
