Artists of every kind and workers employed by the arts and culture scene are being encouraged to fill out the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts, Culture and Heritage inventory survey.
The survey will provide valuable information to help enhance the sense of community by evaluating the arts, culture and heritage assets within the area.
The survey is headed up by several organizations, including the Arts Council, many independent artists, the Maple Ridge Museum, Pitt Meadows Museum, the Community Festival Network, the District of Maple Ridge and the City of Pitt Meadows.
The groups are searching for a better understanding of what the cities currently have in terms of activities, facilities, services, talents, research and special events.
In the future, the organizations would like to create a list to map events and facilities in the area to make it easier for residents and visitors to access the information.
The survey’s overall goal is to retrieve information that will support and connect people who participate in the arts to strengthen the cultural fabric of the community.
