"Twilight in Concert" events feature the 2008 movie, music by FILMharmonique Orchestra and "over a thousand twinkling candles."

Vancouver-area "Twihards" will converge on the Orpheum Theatre for a "Twilight in Concert" event next year.

The March 14 concert will be a chance to "relive the iconic romance saga with an epic film-to-concert experience featuring the original movie, a live band on stage, and a mesmerizing candlelit atmosphere."

The 12-piece FILMharmonique Orchestra, along with vocalist Sam Champagne, will perform the score "in perfect synchronization with the full-length film," shown on a big screen.

Scenes for Twilight were filmed in South Surrey at Bella Swan's "house," a temporary structure at Kerry Park, 28 Avenue at 188 Street.

The production is toured by GEA Live and Quebec-based GFN Productions, in partnership with Lionsgate. The website gfnproductions.ca, where tickets are sold, details similar movie-concerts including Avatar, Lord of the Rings, Home Alone, Star Wars and other titles.

For the Vancouver date, "the atmosphere will be nothing short of magical as the stage is illuminated by over a thousand twinkling candles, setting the perfect backdrop for this romantic journey."

In the 2008 movie Twilight, based on the book by Stephenie Meyer, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) doesn't expect much when she moves to the small town of Forks, Washington, until she meets the mysterious and handsome Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy who's hiding a dark secret: he's a vampire. As their worlds and hearts collide, Edward must battle the bloodlust raging inside him as well as a coterie of undead that would make Bella their prey.

The "Twilight in Concert" event toured to theatres in Montreal and Toronto in the first week of September.
