The board of the largest health authority in B.C. has replaced its president and CEO.
Fraser Health announced Tuesday (Feb. 19) that the board and Dr. Victoria Lee have "mutually agreed" that she will be leaving her position to pursue other opportunities.
“As I embark on an exciting new chapter in my career, I'm filled with immense pride and gratitude for the remarkable achievements we've accomplished together at Fraser Health over the past 15 years. Our journey has been extraordinary, marked by innovation and unwavering commitment to finding integrative solutions for our patients, families and communities,” Lee said in a Fraser Health news release.
Fraser Health board chair Jim Sinclair thanked Lee for her leadership and for how she guided the health authority through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Along with Tuesday's announcement, the board announced the new interim president and CEO of Fraser Health, Lynn Stevenson, PhD, who has spent the past three decades in healthcare in B.C.
Sinclair added "the Board will be working quickly to recruit a new permanent president and CEO as quickly as possible.”
Stevenson is a registered nurse with a PhD focusing on organizational change. She is also a health administrator professor at UBC, former associate deputy minister of health, and former health authority senior executive with experience at Island Health, Fraser Health, and BC Cancer.
