Clearer skies are now in the forecast for the Lower Mainland, with potential flurries Monday morning and overnight into Tuesday.
After a weekend that saw a wintry mix of weather conditions that left much of Metro Vancouver and the valley blanketed with snow, there were no weather alerts or warnings listed on Environment Canada's site Monday morning (Feb. 3).
The federal agency predicted a 60 per cent chance of flurries ending Monday morning, with a wind chill of -6C, with mainly cloudy conditions and a chance of flurries overnight into Tuesday, with a wind chill of -10C Tuesday morning.
Wednesday onward, the forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud, with highs near 0C and lows of -6C, with temperatures warming as next weekend nears.
Although some drivers struggled with the Sunday snowfall — some of them captured by a photographer in South Surrey, on the 176 Street hill north of 16 Avenue — the worst appeared to be over for the Monday morning (Feb. 3) commute.
