The Susana Williams Band will be playing Canada Day.

Canada Day will be celebrated in downtown Maple Ridge with a street party on 224th street, kids zone in Memorial Peace Park, and four stages with entertainers.

The July 1 free festivities will run from noon to 5 p.m. with live music, cultural performances, food trucks, family activities, and more.

"Canada Day is a chance for our community to come together and celebrate what unites us – our diversity, resilience, and shared values," said Mayor Dan Ruimy. "We invite everyone to join us downtown for a fun-filled day of music, food, activities, and connection as we mark the nation’s birthday together."

This year’s celebration builds on the success of last year’s 150th anniversary events. The four stages will feature performances from across cultures and genres, with award-winning Susana Williams Band headlining the event, blending pop rock, Latin, and jazz. Some of the entertainers include Blue Crane Contortion, Norden the Magician, and White Thunder Spirit Dance.

Other highlights:

• Kidz Zone with inflatables, face painting, tot hockey, and interactive games
• Eat Street featuring food trucks serving up global flavours
• Euro Bungee and rock-climbing wall for thrill-seekers of all ages
• Zumba and dance activities
• Local vendors and community group displays throughout the park
• 224 Street Party
