Voters can now cast their ballot in the provincial election at any district electoral office in the province.

There are many ways to vote in B.C.’s 43rd provincial general election, and increasingly popular advance voting starts today, Oct. 10.

Advance voting places will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on each advance voting day. There are six days of advance voting for this election, from Oct. 10 to 13, and from Oct. 15 to 16.

Advance voting places and district electoral offices will be closed on Monday, October 14, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Advance voting is an option for all eligible voters, and all advance voting places are wheelchair accessible.

In Maple Ridge East, there will be advance voting at Fraserview Village Hall (22610-116 Ave.), and the Maple Ridge Lawn Bowling Club (11445-232 St.) from Oct. 10 to 13, 15 and 16. There will also be advance voting at Mission's Silverdale Elementary School (29715 Donatelli Ave.) on Oct. 12 and 13.

In Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows, there will be advance voting in three locations: Golden Ears United Church (22165 Dewdney Trunk Rd.),  Pitt Meadows Heritage Hall (12460 Harris Rd.) and St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church (20285 Dewdney Trunk Rd.). In all three locations voting will take place from Oct. 10 to 13, 15 and 16.

Voters can find information about where to vote on Elections BC’s website. They can also call Elections BC at 1-800-661-8683.

Elections BC has also sent where to vote cards to every registered voter in the province. The cards list advance voting places in the voter’s electoral district, and their assigned voting place for final voting day on Oct. 19.

Where to vote cards list the voting places that are usually most-convenient for voters. Voters can, however, vote at any other voting place in the province. Voters are encouraged to bring their Where to Vote card with them when they vote. All voters must prove their identity and residential address by showing acceptable ID or being vouched for.
