Holiday Ornament Making: Maple Ridge Museum, 22520 116th Ave., Dec. 9, 11 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m. Ages 5 and older, ornament building workshops, hot chocolate. Admission is $5 per child, registration required. Info: mapleridgemuseum.org/holiday-ornament-making.

Pancakes With Santa: Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall, 23461 Fern Cresc., Dec. 9, 8 to 10:30 a.m. Pancake breakfast with fresh fruit and beverages, pics with Santa, entry by donation to 1st Yennadon Scouts.

Hammond Handmade Winter Market: Hammond Elementary, 11520 203rd St., Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Santa photos, concession, raffle baskets, food trucks, food bank donation station, and more than 40 local vendors.

Santa Train: Various West Coast Express stations, Dec. 9 and 16, various times. Free ride on holiday-themed train in exchange for new toy donation, and pictures with Santa at Waterfront station. Info: translink.ca/schedules-and-maps.

Polar Express Concert: Garibaldi Secondary School, 24789 Dewdney Trunk Rd., Dec. 12, 7 p.m. Evening of holiday musical performances from various Garibaldi Secondary bands. Admission by donation.

Free Gift Wrapping: Haney Place Mall, 11900 Haney Pl., Dec. 12 and 14, noon to 4 p.m. Gift wrapping by donation provided by the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association. Donations for Friends in Need Food Bank also accepted.

Santa Lights Up Baker: 10510 Baker Pl., Dec. 13, 6 p.m. A cul-de-sac of brightly decorated homes to look at, hot chocolate and gingerbread decorating by donation, and pictures with Santa. All proceeds go to the Community Chest program at the Maple Ridge Community Foundation.

Christmas Convoy Parade: various Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows locations, Dec. 15 and 16, 6 p.m. Dozens of drivers will decorate vehicles with light displays and drive through communities in a parade fashion. Info: 4th Annual Christmas Convoy Parade Facebook page.

Pitt Meadows Winter Fair: Pitt Meadows Secondary, 19438 116B Ave., Dec. 18, 4:30 to 8 p.m. Cake walk, live music, auction, concession, kids games, and vendors.

Free Gift Wrapping: ValleyFair Mall, 22709 Lougheed Hwy., Dec. 19 and 21, noon to 4 p.m. Gift wrapping by donation provided by the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association. Donations for Friends in Need Food Bank also accepted.

Joy to the World Concerts: Maple Ridge Christian School, 12140 204B St., 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. and 7 to 8:15 p.m. Performances by choir groups from Kindergarten to Grade 6 and the Grade 9 concert band. Concerts will be live-streamed at www.mrcs.online.church.

Winter Wonderland Skate: Pitt Meadows Arena, 11435 Bonson Rd., Dec. 22-23, varying times. All-ages skating, decorations, selfie station, skate and helmet rentals. Admission is $2 per person. Info: pittmeadows.ca.

Christmas Haven: The ACT Arts Centre, 11944 Haney Pl., Dec. 24, 5 to 8 p.m. Visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, local live entertainment, kid’s crafts, face painting, and full Christmas meal with dessert and drinks.

Boxing Day Skate: Plant Ice, 23588 105th Ave., Dec. 26, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. All-ages skating, face painting, hot chocolate and snacks, gift card draw. Admission by donation, with all proceeds going to Maple Ridge Kid Sport and BC Cancer Society. Info: Enhance Sport & Wellness Facebook page.
