A man who was charged in August with a homicide in Maple Ridge has now been charged – along with two others – with a shooting in July in Abbotsford.
Alexander Delair, 26, has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery using a firearm.
James Fedje, 51, and Jessica Van Norren, 45, face the same two charges.
Van Norren has also been charged with four weapons offences – one count each of possessing a weapon without a licence or registration and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, as well as two counts of careless use or storage of a firearm.
The incident occurred in the early morning of July 11 in the 2000 block of Topaz Street (north of Marshall Road and east of Clearbrook Road) in Abbotsford.
Officers were called for a weapons complaint and when they arrived, they discovered that a man had been shot.
He was taken to hospital for treatment, and recovered.
Before the shooting incident in July, Delair was allegedly involved in a homicide in Maple Ridge.
Dustin Evans was shot to death on May 31 at the corner of 232 Street and Lougheed Highway.
A charge of second-degree murder was announced against Delair in August. A preliminary inquiry is scheduled for August 2025.
And less than two weeks after the Abbotsford shooting, Delair was charged with three gun offences in Abbotsford. His trial on those charges is slated for September 2025.
Van Norren has several prior convictions, including communicating for the purpose of prostitution, theft, possession of stolen property, driving while prohibited, escape from lawful custody and numerous counts of breaching her probation.
Fedje does not have any prior charges or convictions listed in the provincial court database for B.C.
