The Maple Ridge Lapidary Club will host a Rock, Gem and Jewelry Market.

The Maple Ridge Lapidary Club will be hosting a rock and gem show on the weekend of Feb. 22 and 23.

Each year, hundreds of people attend this family friendly event for rock, fossils, gem and jewelry lovers of all ages. There will be more than 20 vendors, including those selling crystals and other stones, as well as local artisans with hand-made jewelry, and metaphysical vendors.

There will also be live demonstrations by members of the Maple Ridge Lapidary Club, and crafts to keep kids busy.

There will be a live auction happening both days at 2 p.m., and those attending can vote for their favourite creations by Lapidary Club members, which will be candidates for People's Choice recognition.

It will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Albion Community Centre (24165 104 Ave.). This event is hosted by the Maple Ridge Lapidary Club, as one of their main fundraisers every year, and sponsored by the City of Maple Ridge. Admission is by donation.
