City councillors Korleen Carreras, Judy Dueck, Onyeka Dozie and trustee Gabe Lioisis have fun at Maple Ridge Park after an announcement event.

Spray park lovers are running out of summer.

The spray park at the redeveloped Maple Ridge Park on 232nd Street will remain open until the day after the fall equinox, which happens on Sept. 22 this year.

But the tap will be turned off on all of the other spray parks and small water features in parks around Maple Ridge effective Monday, Sept. 16 this year. This includes those at the Albion Sports Complex, Country Lane Estates North and South, and others.

The weather forecast says there could be a nice day for the spray park at Maple Ridge Park, with Monday, Sept. 16 offering sunshine and a high of 22 C in the afternoon.
