Mayor Dan Ruimy promoted the launch of the city's new dashboards that update residents on council's achievements each quarter.

A series of new dashboards released by the City of Maple Ridge will now allow residents to better track the progress of the Council Strategic Plan.

This document identifies council's main priorities each term, and breaks down the various items into smaller actionable steps.

Now, residents will be able to check in on the progress for each of these objectives at any time by visiting the new dashboards launched on Friday.

For current council, the five core priorities consist of:

• Liveable community

• Climate leadership and environmental stewardship

• Engaged and healthy community

• Diversified and thriving economy

• Governance and corporate excellence

Providing access to this new progress tracker is an important part of promoting accountability to the community, explained Mayor Dan Ruimy.

"The new dashboards give residents the flexibility to see how we’re delivering on key projects and reaching important milestones when it’s convenient for them," said Ruimy.

"It’s a valuable tool to keep the community informed and engaged. I encourage everyone to explore the dashboards and stay connected with the work we’re doing to move Maple Ridge forward."

Updates will be provided for each of the dashboards every quarter, with the next quarterly update scheduled to be released on Oct. 21.

This date will also mark the beginning of the 2025 business planning process at city hall, which includes a breakdown of the key accomplishments from 2024.

The new dashboards can be found at MapleRidge.ca/CouncilStratPlan.
