Lane closures related to work on Pitt Meadows’ new RCMP detachment have been lifted due to “unforeseen utility conflicts” keeping the work from proceeding.

Initially the city notified the public of the intermittent lane closures that were to have been in effect for three weeks starting Feb. 12. They affect the stretch of Harris Road from Lougheed Highway to 124th Avenue and were in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Those closures were lifted Feb. 22.

But the work schedule has had to change and it expected to resume Tuesday, Feb. 27.

People can monitor the city’s website ( and social media to keep up to date with road closures and other local issues.
