What is the most important issue facing voters in this election, and what should be done about it?

Probably one of the bigger topics this election is mass immigration. However, the wrong question is being asked. I see it as an issue of vacancy.

Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows are small but mighty cities, but we can’t escape some national-level issues. What do we do if more people move in then we can immediately handle? Where will they live? Where will they work? If they move in with children, will there be enough room in the classroom for them? Are there enough family doctors in town accepting new patients? Are there enough dentists with availability? Can Ridge Meadows Hospital handle any emergencies new neighbours might need our help with?

With a smart and compassionate strategy, vacancy can be managed very well by being prepared to help the amount of people we’re physically capable of helping and within manageable timeframes that suits our own unique pace.

Bio: I’m a first-generation Canadian, born to parents who escaped war and revolution.Growing up in Quebec, Ontario, and B.C., I developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for democracy and the right to vote. I’m self-taught in IT, automotive mechanics, electrical repairs, HVAC, home repair, and vocalism. I’m also fluent in five languages and have over a decade of experience in the insurance industry. I became increasingly concerned over the polarization of government policies, especially in the early years of the pandemic. I’m not a career politician but knew I felt I had to do something rather then nothing. I’m currently in IT helping children of B.C. at a provincial level on a daily basis.
