In the spirit of the Halloween season, a psychic fair and metaphysical market is coming to Maple Ridge.
Coastal Wave Market will be hosting this event on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Albion Community Centre (24165-104th Ave.). Admission is free, and the event will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Coastal Wave promotes the event as having more than 30 vendors, including Halloween merchandise, and many types of readers. There will be oracle cards, mediums, channels, palm readers and energy workers. Vendors will include food, baby crafts, clothes, jewelry and more.
There will also be free lectures from Haunted History BC. This is a group of paranormal investigators based in the Lower Mainland, who have explored places considered haunted, as well as "shadow people," and folklore. Last month the spooky sisters who founded the group, Gina Armstrong and Victoria Vancek, hosted a walking excursion to Pitt Lake that explored Sasquatch sightings and the story of cursed gold and Slumach's ghost.
“We can’t be more thrilled to share our historical knowledge and spooky stories associated with some amazing locations within our communities,” said Vancek.
