The City of Maple Ridge is again inviting public feedback on concept designs for upgrades in the next phase of the Maple Ridge Park improvement project.

Maple Ridge Park on 232nd Street will see more enhancements through this next phase designed to improve accessibility and functionality. The changes include:

• Three upgraded picnic shelters to support family gatherings and community use. They can accommodate up to 30 people at picnic tables.

• New washroom facilities with drinking fountains, dog fountains, change tables, accessible stalls, and a covered seating area.

• Parking lot improvements, including paving, to enhance accessibility and parking capacity.

Last year the city opened a new playground at the park, and a new spray park is currently under construction and scheduled to open this summer.

The community is encouraged to participate in the engagement process by reviewing the concept designs and sharing their feedback through an online survey available until April 6.

See engage.MapleRidge/MRParkUpgrade. Printed copies of the survey are available upon request at Engage@MapleRidge.ca or 604-466-4300 (dial 4 and extension 5305).

Additionally, residents can attend an open house where city staff will be available to discuss the plans and answer questions.

They will take place on March 26 from 2-4 p.m. at the park playground, and April 2 from 3-6 p.m. at the Leisure Centre - Alder Room, 11925 Haney Pl.

Construction will start this fall, with anticipated completion in the summer of 2026.
