With the arrival of spring, the Ridge Meadows Recycling Society is preparing to undergo several changes in the coming weeks.

One of these changes is the modified recycling pickup schedule during Easter weekend at the end of the month.

There will be no curbside pickup on Good Friday (March 29) and Easter Monday (April 1).

However, the Maple Ridge Recycling Depot (10092 236 St.) will remain open all throughout the holiday weekend with the following hours:

• Friday, March 29 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

• Saturday, March 30 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

• Sunday, March 31 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

• Monday, April 1 (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

In addition to April 1 being Easter Monday, it also signifies the beginning of when the recycling society switches over to its summer hours.

This means the Maple Ridge Recycling Depot will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting April 1, with the exception of Sundays and holidays.

The Metro Vancouver Waste Centre, which is located next to the recycling depot, will also switch to the same summer hours on April 1, with both facilities switching back again in October.
