The Remembrance Day Classic is making its return to Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, involving hundreds of youth hockey athletes from all over B.C. and Washington.

Hosted by the Ridge Meadows Minor Hockey Association (RMMHA), this annual tournament includes both U13 and U11 teams, explained RMMHA tournament director Tania Sargent.

"The 43 teams will be competing in 115 games over five days at both Pitt Meadows Arena Complex and Planet Ice Maple Ridge," said Sargent.

The first of the games begin on Thursday, Nov. 7, with matches continuing through to Monday, Nov. 11.

It's on the afternoon of Remembrance Day that the final matchups will be held and the medal ceremonies conducted for all of the U13 and U11 divisions.

"RMMHA is very excited to host the visiting teams at our annual Remembrance Day Classic and looking forward to some amazing hockey over the long weekend, and thanks the community for their ongoing support of minor hockey in Ridge Meadows," said Sargent.
