Strumbellas, Pritchett to headline Maple Ridge’s 150 celebration

Our Neck of the Woods Festival coming up on Sept. 14 downtown

The City of Maple Ridge's 150th anniversary celebration on Sept. 14 will be the largest community festival in the city’s history.

Our Neck of the Woods will include three live music stages featuring performances by Juno Award-winning The Strumbellas, Aaron Pritchett, Dawn Pemberton, Garret T. Willie and many more. This event will transform Maple Ridge’s downtown area into a walkable festival filled with free family-friendly activities, including a zipline, campfire stories, shop local markets, a 224th Street beer garden, and more in a pedestrian-friendly environment.

“This is the culmination of a year-long series of events to celebrate Maple Ridge 150 and the deep history of the Katzie First Nation and Kwantlen First Nation who have been stewards of this place since time immemorial,” said Mayor Dan Ruimy.

“We’re inviting everyone from around B.C. to ‘Our Neck of the Woods’. Maple Ridge is known for our outdoor adventures, and we’re bringing that to the heart of our downtown," he added. "Join us for an unforgettable day of live music, family fun, a chance to soar over our downtown with the City’s first-ever zipline, and so much more. And the best part? It's all  free. You don’t want to miss this event. We’re making history as we celebrate our history!”
