Thousands of people lined the parade route along Harris, Hammond and Bonson Roads for the annual Pitt Meadows Day parade on Saturday afternoon, June 9.
It's the 84th annual Pitt Meadows Day celebration of The Natural Place, and the event is known for fostering community pride.
The parade procession ended at the Pitt Meadows Athletic Park where the party continued, with a Kid Zone set up with all kinds of games and activities, as well as vendors, and a variety of food trucks selling everything from Cotton Candy to poutine.
Until 9:30 p.m. there will be live music and entertainment, with Trilojay playing from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., and a family friendly beverage garden.
Unfortunately the drone show, which was scheduled for 9:30 p.m., has been cancelled.
According to a city social media post, the drones were delayed at an airport in Eastern Canada, and will not get here in time.
