The lifecycle of a salmon is a multi-year process that covers multiple stages, the first of which is the fertilization of the eggs.
The Kanaka Education and Environmental Partnership Society (KEEPS) is offering the public a chance to see the very beginning stage of life for the thousands of fish that are born at the Kanaka Creek Watershed Stewardship Centre every year.
At the open house event on Nov. 3, KEEPS will invite attendees to observe this monumental moment for all of the salmon eggs at the Bell-Irving Hatchery.
The event is free to attend and will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kanaka Creek Watershed Stewardship Centre (11484 256 St.) on Sunday, Nov. 3.
