An archery program is being offered at the Thompson Mountain Sportsmen’s Association’s Pitt Meadows facility at 21791 Ladner Rd. The introductory course will teach participants how to use a bow and arrow safely, and offer an opportunity to practise shooting at both flat and 3D targets.
There are upcoming courses on Saturdays including April 20, May 4, June 1 and 22, Sept. 14 and Oct. 5. Courses run from noon to 4 p.m., and will be taught by certified instructors.
Prices are $99 for BCWF members, and $129 for non-members. Registration is available online.
The federation wants to ignite more passion for the wilderness. Also in nearby communities, there will be courses in spring foraging in Chilliwack in April and May, fly fishing in May, and the CORE program (Conservation Outdoor Recreation Education) in Surrey later this month.
