Maple Ridge Burrards goaltender Brandon Humphrey stopped a lot of shots against Victoria.

Coming off a big 7-7 tie in Victoria against the Shamrocks on June 6, the Maple Ridge Burrards couldn't get their offence rolling at home on June 8, and lost 10-4 to the Coquitlam Adanacs.

The Burrards had the game tied 4-4 midway through Sunday's contest, but the Adanacs shut them down the rest of the way, while scoring six unanswered.

Burrard Dylan McIntosh had two goals and an assist, and was the game's third star. Drew Andre and Declan Fitzpatrick each had a goal and an assist.

When Ridge took a point away from a game with the Victoria Shamrocks on Friday, it was the first time a team has done that in almost two years.

The last time the Shamrocks failed to finish a Western Lacrosse Association game with a win was July 20, 2023, but the Burrards battled the league's top team to a 7-7 tie.

In front of a stunned crowd of 2,200 at Victoria's Q Centre, the Burrards jumped out to a 5-2 lead after the first period, as Mcintosh scored three goals.

The Shamrocks battled back, and actually held a 7-6 lead early in the third period, but the Burrard's young star Marcus Klarich tied it up. It stayed tied through the last half of the third period, and a five-minute overtime.

Klarich, the scoring leader in the WLA, finished the game with two goals, six points and the game's second star award. Mcintosh had three goals and five points as third star. Garret Winter also scored twice for the Burrards, and Ryan Jones finished with three assists.

Burrards goaltender Brandon Humphrey faced 64 shots in 65 minutes, and had an impressive 0.891 save percentage in the game.

The Burrards are back in action against the Adanacs this Sunday, June 15, at Cam Neely Arena. Game time is 7 p.m.
